About This Project

This was an interesting project. We were asked by a friend to help restore a damaged World War Two Bi-Plane Trainer.

The lower main wing structural beam had been broken in a landing accident. Our expertise in mast building for yachts was a parallel to the materials and techniques in vintage plane building; both require somewhat exacting tolerances and joints.

We are happy to say that the plane is still flying.
